The Falcons forced a couple of corners and the chances went begging. The Falcons had a penalty appeal turned down when Newhall took the legs from Kieron Clarke. Newhall started to come into it and caught the Falcons napping and broke through the centre of the defence to go 1 up. Newhall responded but with the defence holding firm with alex burke, James Burke Matty Thompson and Dan Hyland in commanding form so out the first half to lead 2-1. The second started as much as the same as the first half with the Falcons going close on occasions through Kieron and Ross Clarke. Snarestone kick off playing into the wind trying to put the Falcons under pressure from the start, the Falcons withstood the onslaught and the first minutes there was a midfield battle to be won. The Falcons started to take grip of the game and forced their first corner which caused mayhem in the Snarestone defence, eventually cleared their lines. The Falcons were now putting snarestone under severe pressure with Kieron Clarke and Luke Korik causing problems. With the midfield starting to dominate through Ross Clarke, Joe Baker, Ryan Kerins and Chris Walker the pressure finally told when forcing a corner on the left. Ross Clarke took the corner kick which totally baffled the Snarestone defence and went straight into the top corner of the net 1-0 the Falcons. The Falcons had the bit between their teeth and were pushing for a second when Ross Clarke went close with a clever flick which just went of the bar. The Snarestone defence was creaking and with the ball been played out of Defence from Daniel Hyland to Joe baker who beat a couple of players split the defence open with his cross ryan Kerins ghosted in and slotted the ball home into the roof of the net from 10 yards 2-0. Snarestone responded with a couple of attacking flurries forcing a couple of corners, which the Falcons cleared. Snarestone were awarded a free kick on the outside of the area, hesitant defending let the Snarestone attack in and somehow hit the bar from 3 yards out. The warning was heeded by the Falcons defence of Rory Stretton James Burke, Matty Thompson and Daniel Hyland and another break out the third goal was identical as the second some great wing play from joe baker again set up Ryan Kerins second goal of the game slotting the ball home into the corner of the net from 10 yards 3-0. The Falcons were now enjoying themselves playing some great football when kieron Clarke received the ball on the edge of the area and curled the ball into the top corner of net just before half time 4-0.The Falcons took time to get going in the second half, but were still creating half chances which Snarestone were able to clear their lines. The Falcons made to subs with Kieron Clarke and Luke Koori been replaced by Shane Lloyd and Jon Ashfall. This gave the Snarestone defence something to think about with more pace upfront it put them on the back foot the Falcons going close on numerous occasions. The Falcons eventually increased the lead to five when Shane Lloyd beat the offside trap and rounded the goalie to make it 5-0. The Falcons were now going through the motions as Snarestone had little else to offer when the pressure again told when Chris walker rode a couple of tackles in the area to make it 6-0. Adam Tubb had a comfortable game in goal with little to do kept his concentration well and performed well when asked to deal with Snarestone rare attacks.

30/03/08 The Under 18's played at home yesterday against Belgrave Bullets and drew 2-2 which ahs now ended any hopes of winning the league, best we can hope for is second place.
The Falcons had to start the game with 9 players on the pitch against a good Belgrave side. The first 25 minutes saw the Falcons battle to keep the score down and even created a few half chances to stop the pressure on the 9 gallant players. Belgrave took the lead on 25 when the ball bobbled about in the area falling to one of their forwards who slotted home. The falcons no's increased shortly afterwards to 10 players which gave the flacons a lift and started to push Belgrave back, forcing a number of corners which were unlucky not to score. Then with ten to in the first half the Falcons numbers went up to 11 players and immediately equalised through Kieron Clarke. 1-1 half time. The Falcons found hard to pick up the pace of the game after the break and were under constant pressure from Belgrave who were playing some neat football. The Falcons defence stood firm and in a breakaway Kieron Clarke was unlucky not to make 2-1 when he hit the outside of the post. The Front 2 of Kieron Clarke and Shane Lloyd went close again missing a couple of half chances. The midfield 4 of Ross Clarke, Grant jones, Ryan Kerins and Joe Baker worked tirelessly try and push Belgrave back and the back 4 of Daniel Hyland ,Matty Thompson, James Burke , Rory Stretton and goalie Adam Tubb put their bodies on the line to try and get the next goal. It was no surprise when Belgrave took the lead with a rasping shot into the corner of the net with 10 to go. The Falcons were down to 10 men when they had a player sent off, but they still found that extra to equalise when given a penalty for hand ball in the area, Kieron Clarke slotted the ball home with 3 to go. As much as they tried the Falcons could not find the 3rd goal to keep their championship hopes a live.

The Falcons were looking to bounce back from last weeks disappointing result found it hard going against their only local derby of the season. Four Oaks were well up for the challenge giving the Falcons little time to settle on the ball. Four Oaks were the first to threaten through an ex Falcon player A. Greenway but fired wide. The Falcons were struggling to put any decent moves together did create much till the back end of the first half creating a couple of half chances. The Falcons subbed Lloyd for L.Korik to try and shore up the midfield. The Oaks threatened again through Greenway when he blazed two shots over the bar. right on the stroke of half time the Falcons were awarded a free kick on the edge of the area the kick was taken by Ross clarke how floated the ball into the top corner of the net 1-0 half time. The Falcons started the second half brighter forcing the Oaks back creating a couple of chances and within minutes the Falcons went 2 up through a neatly worked goal with L.Korik slotting the ball home 2-0. S.Lloyd came onto replace R.Kerins. With the Falcons in total control now increased the pressure on the Oaks and went further ahead with a shot from S.Lloyd into the corner of the net 3-0. R.Kerins came on for R.Stretton with 15 to go. With the final kick of the game Oaks scored a late consolation goal to make it 3-1.

Team: G.Jones, D.Hyland, R.Kerins, M.Thompson, G.Stockdale, L.Korik, R.Clarke, C.Walker,J.Baker, KJ Clarke & S.Lloyd.
The Falcons missing several players missing, had to shuffle the pack with players playing out of position had to start the first 20 with 10 players. The Falcons playing their first game in 2 weeks set about high flying Polesworth with attacking intent from the start, Polesworth could not cope with the pace and the skill from the Boldmere midfield of Ross Clarke, Chris Walker, Joe Baker. After some great link up play the 10 men Falcons took the lead through Shane Lloyd when slotted the ball home from 10 yards 1-0 the Falcons. The Falcons soon had 11 players on the pitch with Ryan Kerins slotting in at right back and Luke Korik into right midfield. The Falcons now had firm grip on the game, forcing succession of corners taken by Ross Clarke caused mayhem in the Polesworth defence. The Falcons had some great chances to increase the lead through Luke Korik, Kieron Clarke, Chris Walker ,but some great goalkeeping and the bar and post kept the score down to 1-0. The defence lead brilliantly by Matty Thompson, Dan Hyland Gethen Staockdale, Ryan Kerins . The Falcons made 2-0 after a corner from Ross Clarke was bundled over by Dan Hyland. Polesworth started to pick their game up and Grant jones pulled off a couple of fine saves and dealt with everything they could throw at him. On the stroke of half time Poles worth had a free kick on the edge of the area they crossed the ball and with the ball going over goal the head of Grant Jones could only parry the ball into the net 2-1 half- time. Polesworth were on the up after scoring before half time nearly made 2-2 with a shot just going past the post. Polesworth put the Falcons under pressure for the first time in the match and came close but with the defence holding firm the Falcons started to exert the pressure back. The Polesworth goalie again in great form kept the score down to 2-1 till midway of the second half. The Falcons had some great chances through Ross Clarke, Kieron Clarke Joe Baker Chris Walker and Luke Korik. Polesworth finally succumbed to the Falcons superior play and a superb 20 yard free kick from Ross Clarke hit the top corner of the net 3-1 Falcons. Instead of sitting back the Falcons were now looking to score more and in the dying minutes kieron Clarke scored with a scorcher of a shot from the edge of the area into the top corner 4-1.

Belvedere took the kick off and went straight into attack causing the Falcons defence all sort of problems with their pace. The Falcons defence failed to clear the ball several times and were lucky not to concede in the first few minutes. It was no surprise when Belvedere took the lead when they split the middle of the defence wide open leaving A.Tubb no chance in goal 1-0 down. The Falcons tried to respond but Belvedere work rate and pace was still causing the defence problems. the Falcons started to match Belvedere and were starting to get on top with two of their players getting booked for fouls on Kieron Clarke. Ross Clarke took the free kicks which Belvedere put out for corners and forcing their goalie into action. Belvedere were now on the back foot the midfield of Joe Baker Chris Walker Ross Clarke and Luke Korik causing all sort of problems and the pace of Shane Lloyd and the trickery of Kieron Clarke kept the score down. The Falcons were now flying and after forcing a succession of corners the got their just rewards with Chris walker heading the ball home. This shook Belvedere and with Falcons really piling on the pressure they took the lead through superb 20 yard free kick from Ross Clarke which flew into the top corner of the net leaving Belvedere goalie no chance. Belvedere tried to respond but the back four of Ryan Kerins, Matty Thompson, James Burke and Dan Hyland had the measure of their attack 2-1 Half time. Rory Stretton came on for Ryan Kerins at the start of the second half.
Belvedere came out trying to put the Falcons under pressure as they did in the first half making a couple of half chances. The Falcons midfield were now dominating again feeding the front two with Kieron Clarke, Ross Clarke forcing the Belvedere goalie into making saves. The Belvedere defence was creaking under the pressure and with the falcons forcing corner after corner they conceded a third. With pin point cross Luke Korik planted a twisting header into the corner of the net 3-1. With twenty to go Jon Ashfall came on for Shane Lloyd and Grant Jones for Joe Baker. This added more pace to the attack with Jon Ashfall causing problems was unlucky not score. Grant Jones releasing the ball early to the forwards the Falcons were unlucky not to add to the score line. With ten to go Belvedere broke through the defence and a brilliant one handed reflex save from Adam Tubb in goal kept the score down to 3-1. In dying minutes Belvedere pushed everyone forward to try and pull one back. The Falcons broke clear and Kieron Clarke spotted the goalie of his line lobbed him from 25 yards only to see his shot hit the top of the bar. Final score 3-1.
Well done everyone brilliant display. Good Luck to Kieron and Jon who made their last appearance for the team yesterday due to having to play in Spain against Villarreal academy at the weekend for Sutton Town Youth.

On a hot and humid day the Falcons were looking to make it a cup double and Amington were looking to win a cup and league double. Amington and the Falcons shared the first ten minutes testing each other out without creating to many chances. Amington started to impose themselves on the game forcing a number of chances. The Falcons tried to respond wasting a couple of half chances through Shane Lloyd and Luke Korik. The midfield 4 of Ryan Kerins, Chris Walker, Ross Clarke and Joe Baker tried to create the opening for the front two but found the Amington midfield and defence solid. With Amington pushing on and increasing the pressure it was no surprise when they took the lead. The second half Grant jones replaced Ryan Kerins, Amington wee no enjoying plenty of the ball making the back 4 of Dan Hyland, Matty Thompson, James Burke, Rory Stretton work hard. The Falcons had good shout for a penalty when Luke Korik was pulled back by his shirt. The Falcons nearly increased the lead when Ross Clarke hit a superb 20 yard shot onto the cross bar.
